The V Iberian Congress of Tribology, Ibertrib2009, will take place at Coimbra, Portugal, in June 2009.

General objectives

This event will be a forum for presenting the most recent advances in different areas of Tribology, including friction, wear and lubrication, as well as their application to the design and improvements of equipments and machine elements. Furthermore, Ibertrib 2009 aims to promote the interchange of scientific and technical information among Iberian tribologists.

Paper Submission

All those interested in attending the Ibertrib2009, presenting a paper, should submit by e-mail (ibertrib2009@dem.uc.pt) an abstract title before 21st of February 2009. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and available in printed form at the conference, as they were submitted. The complete text of the works should be sent before the 25th of April 2009 and will be published in CD form. The final camera-ready version of the complete manuscript should be prepared following the conference template. A selected number of papers will be peer-reviewed and ranked according to Referee's scores, to be published in:
- A special issue of the International Journal of Surface Science and Engineering (IJSurfSE).
- Mecânica Experimental (Experimental Mechanics, Portuguese Journal);
- Ciência e Tecnologia dos materiais (Materials Science an Technology, Portuguese Journal)
