Teaching

Pedro Neto is responsible for teaching subjects for both the Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering Masters in the University of Coimbra. The teaching activities are mainly dedicated to automation and advanced manufacturing. It is promoted the classes in laboratory environment, visits to companies, and the elaboration of projects.

Flexible Production Systems: Introduction to manufacturing systems, automation of production systems, robotics, CNC, CAM, IoT, material transport systems, advanced and flexible manufacturing. Project of a manufacturing system.

Automation and Industrial Control: Pneumatic mechanisms, Karnaugh maps, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Grafcet, control (P, I, D, PID).

Off-line robot programming: Introduces the students to robot off-line programming. Basics of robot programming, advanced applications and familiarization with off-the-shelf software.
